Wide Shareholder
base by design

Two shareholder types,
one shared mission.

Broadleaf is owned by a wide number of shareholders who we characterise as either Insider or Community shareholders.

Since our inception, we have built on a principle that around half our shareholders would come from within the businesses we have partnered with.

This is our version of a co-operative and exemplifies the “For Us, By Us” mantra.

Community without aligned ownership becomes fragile.

That’s why Broadleaf places so much emphasis on shared ownership, not just within individual businesses, but across the broader ecosystem. It turns community from a concept into a commitment.

Personal Equity — Not Private Equity

Community Owned

Broadleaf’s shareholders reflect the community it builds, people with skin in the game alongside people who want to help build something great.

Wide shareholder base by design. More than 70 shareholders currently, enabling liquidity and community. No one-off sale of the business required for a shareholder to enter or exit.

Insider Shareholders

Owners and teams of partner businesses. People with skin in the game.

  • Business owners of partner firms
  • Team members building toward ownership
  • Next-gen leaders being inducted
  • Aligned interests, shoulder to shoulder

Community Shareholders

High-quality, curious-minded individuals who want to help build something great.

  • Curious, values-aligned individuals
  • Wanting to be part of building something
  • Bring networks, ideas and energy
  • Long-term, patient capital mindset
